Happy Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! May 15 2015

In case you don’t know, today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. In my book, that is definitely a day to celebrate!!! You don’t have to stick to boring chocolate chips in your cookies, cut up some of our delicious Rococo Chocolates Artisan bars to make those cookies even better or get some delicious spiced chocolate chips from our friends at La Boîte. Just stick to one flavor bar per batch, otherwise it will be an overload for your senses.See below for our favorite recipe.

Do you prefer to let someone else do the work? Here are the NYC bakeries with our favorite chocolate chip cookies:

Bouchon Bakery(Columbus Circle, Rockefeller Center, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills & Yountville) – Always one of my favorites. I probably ate dozens of Chocolate Chunk cookies while working there. They are big and amazing! If you really like chocolate try the Double Chocolate Chunk.

Levain Bakery(167 West 74th, New York, NY) – Sometimes there is a line, but it is definitely worth the wait.  These cookies are so good, people travel for them.

Jacques Torres(multiple locations in NYC, we like the one on the UWS) – A chocolatier should have a delicious chocolate chip cookie and this one does!

Happy Friday,

Julie
