Introducing Due Cellucci Tomato Sauces February 11 2016

One of my favorite parts of Julie’s Beet is sourcing new products and you never know where you are going to find them. I am particularly excited about the latest addition to our marketplace, Due Cellucci Tomato Sauces.  I discovered these wonderful sauces in the fall at Moms in Training Event. I never thought taking my son out to play would lead me to discovering something for Julie’s Beet, but like I said, you never know.

Due Cellucci Tomato Sauces are all natural and made with real, whole foods.  They taste just like home-made but without all of the trouble for you.  Stefanie Sulpizi Balla grew up in a restaurant family and along with her brother, Enzo, would often visit their father, Chef Enzo, in the kitchen of their family-owned Connecticut restaurant.  Restaurant patrons, family & friends were always asking Chef Enzo to sell his sauces.  Young Enzo had a plan to “spread the love” by sharing the family’s sauces.  Sadly, young Enzo lost his battle with Leukemia in 2003.  A few years later, Stefanie decided to finish what her brother started and Due Cellucci Tomato Sauces was born.  Stefanie and her father, Chef Enzo, work together to cook every batch of their sauces which are then jarred and sold.  In honor of young Enzo, a portion of the proceeds from each jar of Due Cellucci Tomato Sauces goes to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
