Lucy's Granola

Lucy Benjamin loved making granola for her family to enjoy. It was a healthy and delicious treat they could all enjoy.  Then came the fateful day when Lucy forgot to make something for her daughter’s bake sale. In a pinch, she packaged up some of her granola and sent it with her daughter to school.  It was a hit and the request for more granola came with each bake sale and then beyond.  With much convincing from family and friends, Lucy took the leap to make her hobby a profession and Lucy’s Granola was born.

Lucy is as mindful of making the granola delicious as she is of keeping the process simple. She also uses local ingredients whenever possible.  All of the products are made, packaged and shipped from Lucy’s 1840’s Maine Cape Farmhouse. During the process of production in East Blue Hill, Maine Lucy’s visitors include bald eagles & harbor seals among other fans of granola.

I met Lucy at the Fancy Food Show in NYC in June. Once I heard her story and tasted the granola I knew I had to have it in the marketplace.  Granola is the perfect food… crunchy and sweet and you get to eat it for breakfast, an afternoon snack and even dessert. Once you try Lucy’s Granola you are sure to be a  part of the fan club, just like I am.
