Roast Ham with Hot Honey Mustard Glaze
Makes 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
1 nine-pound bone-in spiral sliced ham
1 cup Bee Local Hot Honey Sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh thyme
Method:
-Preheat oven to 325°F
-Place ham in a small roasting pan, cut side down. Pour ½ cup water into the bottom of the pan. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for about 90 minutes or until ham is heated through.
-Combine the Bee Local Hot Honey Sauce with the brown sugar, butter, mustards & thyme in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves.
-Increase the oven temperature to 375°F. While the ham is still hot, remove the foil and carefully pour off the water from the bottom of the pan. Brush half of the glaze over the ham. Return ham to the oven, uncovered, for about 5 minutes. Ham should be golden brown and beginning to glaze. Brush with the remaining glaze and bake for another 7 minutes… ham will be well-browned and glazy but not burnt! Serve warm.
